What to include

  • The macro involved (OpenAPI Viewer or JSON Viewer) and whether the spec comes from a page attachment or was pasted inline.
  • The message shown by the macro, if any (it explains oversized documents, invalid specs and empty tag filters).
  • For rendering issues: a copy of the spec or JSON, or a minimal example that reproduces the problem. Specs are only used to reproduce the issue and are deleted afterwards.
  • For export issues: whether it is the PDF or the Word export, and a screenshot of the result.

Common questions

The macro says the document is too large

Documents above 3 MB are not rendered, to keep the page responsive. Split the specification or attach a smaller file.

The macro says the document is not an OpenAPI specification

The OpenAPI Viewer expects a document with an openapi or swagger field. For arbitrary JSON, use the JSON Viewer instead.

No endpoints match my tag filter

Tag names are matched exactly as written in the specification. Edit the macro and adjust or clear the filter.

The macro says the app is not licensed on this site

A Confluence administrator can start the free trial or activate the subscription from Atlassian Administration → Apps. The content appears as soon as the license is active.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere. The app renders inside your Confluence page, stores only each macro's configuration in the macro itself, and makes no external network calls. Details in the privacy policy.
